Listed below is a summary of residential crime occurrences in North Taranaki for the week 5th - 11th August 2016:

 

Welbourn

Oriental St

Date & Time: Between 08/08/16 18:00 and 09/08/16 12:20

Wilful Damage – A bedroom window pane was broken.

 

Thames St

Date & Time: Between 07/08/16 19:00 and 08/08/16 07:30

Burglary – A window was cracked and forced open to gain entry to the house; items taken from the garage and house, including motorbike clothing.

 

Spotswood

Ngamotu Rd

Date & Time: 11/08/16 at 15:00

Burglary – Glass pane of bedroom ranch slider broken and several items taken – jewellery, 2x HP laptops, Pioneer theatre system, Panasonic DVD player, perfumes & makeup

 

New Plymouth Central

St Aubyn St

Date & Time: Between 10/08/16 20:30 and 11/08/16 10:20

Theft Ex-Car – Locked vehicle entered and radar detector stolen.

 

Inglewood

Elliot St

Date & Time: Between 06/08/16 23:45 and 07/08/16 13:50

Burglary – Glass pane at bottom of garage door was smashed to gain entry; unsure if anything taken.

 

Marfell

Endeavour St

Date & Time: Between 06/08/16 10:00 and 07/08/16 09:30

Theft Ex-Car – Vehicle left unlocked overnight; Microsoft tablet and loose change stolen from vehicle.

A scam email purporting to be from NZ Post and/or CourierPost is currently making the rounds.

If you received an email with the subject line of “The courier did not redeem the parcel” or "A delivery man wasn't able bring the parcel", please do not respond or click on the links enclosed. You can report this to NetSafe's 'The Orb' at www.theorb.org.nz/ - after you've done so, we encourage you to delete the email.

Please note that any communications you receive from NZ Post or CourierPost will be from a NZ Post or CourierPost email address (e.g. sample@nzpost.co.nz or sample@courierpost.co.nz). If you or someone you know received this email, please share this status to help get the word out.
